Since 2013, The Children’s Shoe Company has accumulated a wealth of knowledge about children’s feet, our shoe brands, and how shoes fit – in fact, many of our customers travel for our expert shoe fitting service.
In an attempt to make this invaluable information available to our online customers, we have collated our fitting experiences of the brands we sell and this is shown below. While nothing can replace having your child’s feet measured by a trained professional, we do hope you find the below guide helpful.

Angulus – Angulus shoes generally run wider than average and a bit big overall. We always sell Angulus shoes in the size that we measure. Excellent for an F or a G fitting.
Bellamy – Bellamy sandals run true to size and fit normally
Biomecanics - Biomecanics run true to size and fit normally. We sell them in the size we measure.
Bloch – Bloch shoes run normal in terms of width but are a bit small, so we go up a size from the size measured.
Bobux - Bobux shoes generally run a bit wide.
Bogs - Bogs run true to size and we sell the size we measure.
Camper – Camper children’s shoes run true to size and fit normally, we almost always sell them in the size that we measure.
Ecco – Ecco run true to size and fit normally. We sell them in the size we measure.
Froddo - Froddo shoes offer styles that can run a bit narrow but in the main they fit as measured, the only exception to this is sandals where we normally go up a size from the size measured.
Giesswein – Giesswein runs small, so we always go up a size.
Hummel - Hummel shoes generally suit narrower feet and they are short and so we almost always go up a size from the size measured.
Inch Blue – We sell the Medium and the Large size, the medium is for 6 to 12mths and the large is for 12 to 18mths.
Petasil – Petasil shoes generally suit narrower feet and are true to size in terms of length
Primigi – Primigi shoes run a bit wide and small, depending on how the child’s feet are measuring we do sometimes go up a size.
Ricosta – Ricosta shoes suit a narrower foot and can be generous in their length.
Saltwater - Saltwater sandals have their own unique measuring system, see our size guides. They generally fit all bit the narrowest foot. If you are looking for a narrower girls waterproof sandal then we would recommend the brand Samphire.
Samphire – Samphire generally work better on narrower feet. They generally run true to size.
Shoesme – Shoesme shoes are a middle fit and and we generally go up a size from the size we measure. The exception to this is their wellies which are true to size.
Skechers – Skechers mainly run true to size and fit normally. We sell them in the size we measure.
Term Footwear – Term Footwear mainly run true to size and fit a normal to wide foot. We sell them in the size we measure.
